HMC’de iqyylog.log’u konsoldan nasıl alınıra girmeden önce bilmeyenler için IBM HMC nedir bundan bahsetmek istiyorum… HMC (Hardware Management Console – Donanım Yönetim Konsolu) IBM i sistemleri, IBM P sistemleri ya da IBM güç sistemleri gibi bölümlenmiş SMP sistemleri konfigüre etmek ve yönetmek için standart bir arayüz sağlamak amacıyla IBM tarafından üretilen bir teknolojidir.HMC temel özellikleri sağlamak için BusyBox kullanan bir Linux çekirdeğidir ve Fluxbox pencere yönetimini kullanarak görsel loginler sağlar.
Sistem yöneticileri HMC kullanarak bir sunucu sistemindeki bölümleri yönetmek ve ayarlamanın yanı sıra donanım sorunlarını belirlemek ve monitör etmek için de kullanırlar. HMC sistem yöneticilerine sadece 32 bit DVD-Ram sürücülü Intel tabanlı bir masaüstü bilgisayar ile karışık ve pahalı sunucuları ucuz yöntemlerle yönetimi sağlar.
HMC mantıksal bölümleri ve bölümlerin profillerini yönetmek ve ayarlamak için, DLPAR ları uygulamak için, İstek talep (Demand ?) kaynakları üzerindeki kapasiteleri yönetmek ve aktive etmek için kullanılır.
